Casting Class
We hold novice casting classes
for anglers of all ages and levels of experience. The classes are designed
to get anglers started in flyfishing. We leave you with a good sense of
timing, casting theory and a basic ability to deliver the fly to the fish.
We also teach anglers how to enjoy themselves on the water.
Here is a taste of the curriculum; basic casting, rod selection, fly
selection, line control, techniques and tactics.
Intermediate Class
Designed for casters
with limited experience or time on the water. Reviewing the basics and
improving standard skills is the goal of this class. This hands on, light-hearted
approach to flyfishing shows you how to enjoy the sport and reduce the
frustration.
Advanced Class
Ideal for anglers who want
to improve their skills while actually catching fish. Even accomplished
casters can learn increased distance, presentation, reading water and line
control. On water instruction on our own fish ponds.
Weekend Courses
The fastest way to learn
to flyfish is one on one with your instructor. Anglers on the fast-track
can gather all the knowledge and experience they can absorb in a weekend
on the water with me. You bring a thirst for knowledge and I'll provide
the rest. We'll cover all aspects of fly-casting and fly-fishing including
advanced techniques and tactics, the double haul, curve casting, back casting,
presentation and more.
A weekend course is a two-day seminar including one night accommodation, breakfast and lunch at our LOG INN Bed & Breakfast.
